About the Sphinx and the great pyramids

The ancient Egyptians have left monuments which to this day amaze scientists for its giant size. The most significant monuments of ancient Egypt are the Great Pyramids. These grandiose structures built with solid stone blocks weighing up to two hundred tons each, surprise and enchant its grandeur all who have seen them. Significant role in this play and the fact that the secret construction of the pyramids lost in the mist of centuries.

Recent studies have shown that ancient Egyptian kings, who wanted to leave behind lasting traces of their power and inimitability and commanded to build powerful structures, guided, possibly, a single purpose — to shake the imagination of future civilizations and put them at an impasse regarding construction techniques. Now almost does not matter whether the pyramids built by the labour of hundreds of thousands of slaves or, as some suppose, with the help of extraterrestrials, one thing is certain — the mystery of the Egyptian pyramids will live forever. More than one generation will break my head on finding out the majestic buildings. Although in recent years a theory according to which the pyramids were supposedly built not by the Egyptians.

The great Sphinx at Giza is one of the oldest mysteries of humanity. The Sphinx, the oldest monument on Earth, probably carries more secrets than answers to constant questions. But it could help to shed light on much of what determines our whole civilization.

The Sphinx, unlike the pyramids and temples it guards, not built from stone mined in quarries, but rather carved from solid rock. The Sphinx is a figure with a lion’s body and man’s face (although many consider it female). Its height is 66 feet (approximately 20 meters), a length of 240 feet (72 meters). The biggest surprise is the expression on the face of the Sphinx, it looks like from our world into the world of eternity. Most Egyptologists, and the Egyptians believe that the Sphinx was built in approximately 2500 BC Pharaoh Khafre (also known as khafra), the fourth Pharaoh of the fourth dynasty, named after they built the second of the three Great Pyramids. However, according to recent studies, this theory is nothing more than a beautiful legend. The Egyptians, of course, reject this view, not at all surprising, because for them, the pyramid is an integral part of the story, a matter of national pride. The Sphinx has been a symbol of power and the ancient Egyptians.

Researcher John A. West, repeatedly examined the Sphinx, convinced that he was built much later than many scientists. In his words, “the statue of the Sphinx too does not fit into the civilization of 2,500 years.” After reading a book about Egypt written by the French writer and mathematician Salleron de Labiche, he put forward the theory that the figure of the Sphinx allegedly there are traces of erosion, the destruction of the statues with water. West, came to the conclusion that the figure of the Sphinx grinds is not horizontal, like other structures at Giza, but vertical. Horizontal erosion is characteristic for structures, has long been exposed to winds and dust storms. These phenomena in the part of the Sahara, where now stands the Sphinx, is enough. But the figure of the Sphinx are clearly visible traces of influence of horizontal water erosion. “Where on earth, in the Sahara, did the water?” asks West.

In 1991, Dr Robert Schoch, a prominent geologist, Professor at Boston University, has researched the traces of erosion on the figure of the Sphinx and came to the conclusion that they were after prolonged exposure to the statue of torrential rains. If you remember, when was the Sphinx built in his findings is not unexpected, in those days, the rain, including torrential, were not in Egypt very rare. But in this case confirms the theory expressed by John West: the Sphinx was actually constructed much earlier than the rest of the building. That is, it was built not by the ancient Egyptians, and a more ancient race who lived many centuries before the advent of the first dynasty of the pharaohs, for thousands of years before Christ. But in this case pop up new historical possibilities. Sphinx, no doubt, is the most significant building on Earth. Historical and artistic value cannot be determined, as it is impossible to say how much would it cost picture, as beautiful as the Mona Lisa, but a thousand years older.

The Sphinx is no comparison, no nothing upon the Earth, unless, of course, not counting several ancient Egyptian structures with which it could be put on a par. He has no equal among modern statues. It is thought by some scientists that belong to the ancient culture that possessed knowledge, which we have yet to achieve. And at the same time, the facial features of the Sphinx surprisingly modern, they Express great wisdom, amazing depth of knowledge, before which pale the fussy attempts of our fine fellows, Tsadasa to comprehend what their mind is simply not yet Mature enough. We can only guess the secrets of the Sphinx. By the way, keeps them not only the Sphinx, but Egyptians, rather painfully relevant to any attempt to conduct a more in-depth research of their shrines.

Head of the Sphinx is disproportionate.; body. This sculptural dissonance suggests: and not did the Sphinx lion head first? And not twelve thousand years ago, she’s been whipped, to commemorate the Age of Leo? And could it be that 4000 years ago the Egyptians, in honor of one of their kings, turned the lion’s head in the male?

Have been a number of studies showed that under the statue of the Great Sphinx, there are several tunnels leading into the hall, which is located between the front paws of the statue, at a depth of 25 feet (about 8 meters). We can only guess what is in this room, for the Egyptians stubbornly not allowed to conduct any excavations near the Sphinx. Their reluctance only increases the curiosity of scientists. Some suggest that in a mysterious room are evidence of the existence on Earth of an ancient civilization. But if this civilization was able to create the figure of the Sphinx, one can only imagine what level of knowledge she possessed. And who knows, if in this hall, besides other testimonies, the answer of the Sphinx. Strictly speaking, nobody knows why it was built.

And last. In March 1993 inside the great Pyramid, at the end of a narrow corridor, the robot had discovered a strange small door. Since that time, the chief researcher of the pyramids, Herman Gantenbrink, was denied a continuation of the research. Officials from the Egyptian Ministry of conservation of antiquities argued its more than strange ban on further work that provided a quick message is flashed in the British press, which referred to the mysterious door. This note was enough for Gantenbrink Egyptians accused of “violating archaeological ethics.” All the questions about what may be lurking behind the door, the Egyptians replied that “there is nothing to hide”. No, I think there is something once the hosts are so reluctant to admit to his treasure researchers.
